Over the summer, I had the pleasure of photographing an engagement session for Liz and Patrick. Both are avid readers and book lovers, so we incorporated a few books into their session. The red book, The Story of an Untold Love by P. L. Ford was an old used bookshop find of mine that fit in perfectly with the theme. We later found out it was available to read for free via Amazon’s Kindle app (link)! We had a beautiful afternoon to take lots of photos in their garden and here are just a few of my favorites.
As usual, I’ve been a bad blogger, but have been plenty busy over the summer! Baby S made her appearance in June and I’m only just now getting around to uploading a few photos of her for the blog. That sweet little smile happened almost every time her dad was talking and just about melted everyone. All my best wishes to her and her parents for many more smiles in the years to come!
I’m the worst at updating the blog! I’ve been plenty busy, but posting to the blog always seems to fall to the wayside. But hey, I’m here now, right?!
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph this sweet newborn and her family. Baby V wanted nothing to do with sleeping and was wide awake the whole session, checking out the last snowfall of the season (hard to believe now that spring is in full bloom). Her big brother got in on the session too and we even did a few family portraits. A really lovely afternoon with a great family!
Had a great session with Lauren, David, and Baby O two weekends ago. The leaves were just starting to change to their fall colors, and the weather was perfect. Baby O kept us laughing with his silly faces, but when I brought out the fire truck and tinsel garland, he really lit up! If you want to book a session with the fire truck as a prop, contact me! It’s available for any session (family, kids, baby) and is included in the regular session fee.
I had a lovely session with Sarah and her two kids! The evening sun was unfortunately obscured by clouds, but that didn’t stop us from having a fun time – both kids were full of smiles and giggles. A great session and some great photos!
Now that they’ve had a chance to share their photos with family and friends, it’s my turn to share. What a party! Not only was the wedding ceremony beautiful, but the whole evening was spot on perfect including the location, the weather, and all the little details. The wedding and reception were held at the Duportail House in Chesterbrook, PA. Live music was provided by the bride and groom’s friends with a seemingly never-ending rotation of talented musicians and singers stepping in throughout the evening. On top of all that, the groom even brewed his own beer for the reception. So many great personal touches! A truly beautiful wedding and reception, congrats again to Theresa and Mike!
I figured it was time to start adding some new content to a long-neglected blog. Theresa and Mike are getting married this summer and I’m so excited to be photographing their wedding. We met up at the Chaddsford Winery to do an engagement session before their big day. It turned out great! The winery was really awesome and welcomed us like we were old friends. We even got to sneak into the barrel room for a great shot between the rows of barrels. Congrats to the couple on their engagement and a HUGE thanks to Chaddsford Winery for their hospitality (and great wine!).
So, there haven’t been a lot of blog posts to show for the work I’ve done. The privacy of my clients is very important to me, and I would never share any photos that I don’t have permission to share, hence the lack of visual data here. All client files are delivered in a password protected gallery that is hidden from public view, but can easily be shared with family and friends. Your photos are yours and you should be able to decide how they’re shared! I’m still keeping plenty busy with a batch of weddings and family photo sessions this summer and hope to have a few images to share from those later this summer. Stay Cool!
I had a super fun afternoon shoot with Teiarra, the lovely gal in the photos below. We’ve got a ton of images, and these are just a small sample of my favorites. Fun shoots like these are great to use for Facebook profile images, to share with friends, use a few family-friendly photos to put in holiday greetings (can you even believe that December is just four months away?!), or even just to feel glamorous for an afternoon.
So I’ve been pretty busy lately, hence the lack of posts on the blog, but I just had to jump in and share this one. Michelle, a May bride, put together a slideshow with some of the photos I took for her and Ed. She put together something really wonderful – full of happiness – and really captured their day perfectly. I hope you enjoy it too!
From Michelle’s notes on the video:
We were married on May 14th, 2011, at Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The background song is “Be Thou My Vision,” a traditional Christian hymn that can be traced to 6th century Ireland. It was the song to which the bridal party – bride included – walked down the aisle. The version used in this video is sung by Lori Morrison.
